A whole-month decentralized build-in-the-open. September 2026.
A whole month of building things for and on the fediverse, together, in the open. Not a 48-hour hackathon sprint — a sustainable month with a weekly rhythm, where anyone can join with a project of their own or by contributing to an existing one.
All of September 2026. The month orbits the 3rd Berlin Fediverse Day (11–13 September, c-base Berlin): build toward Berlin, meet there, and keep building on what it sparks.

@fedimonth@fedimonth.softwaregardening.org on the fediverse.Short, lightly-produced video drops in the style of a Nintendo Direct: self-contained clips from participants, stitched back-to-back with minimal connective tissue. Submit a clip, we assemble it. The more people build, the more Directs happen.
The month ends with a showcase demo day and a finale Direct — everyone shows what they made. Recognition through peer spotlights, no ranking, no winners and losers.
